Focus better with essential oils

I have noticed that I use essential oils more and more, when I write my articles. I have always had some problems focusing that I have learned to live with, but essential oils have definitely brought some extra help, when I need to get my work done. Citrus oils are also wonderful, when you need little energy boost. I always get my diffuser going at my work desk, but I also often put oil blends to my wrists.

Frankincense, sandalwood and lime bring clarity to those with problems with focusing. Roman chamomile, patchouli and ylang ylang are calming to the mind. Mix drop or two to the table-spoon of coconut oil and rub it to your temples or back of the neck. You should also inhale the oil blend couple of times before you put it on to your skin. You can also put couple of drops to your diffuser. doTerra also has an oilblend called Intune that you can use for this purpose.

Lack of motivation and frustration

If you are having trouble with focusing because of lack of motivation or you are feeling frustrated: Peppermint, peel of clementine and coriander seed oil give great boost during day or first thing in the morning (you can also use them before competitions). The scent combination is very fresh, clean and minty. Put a drop or two to a table-spoon of coconut oil and on to your wrists. Inhale first. You can also put the oil blend to bottom of your feet or to the diffuser. doTerra also has an oil blend called Motivate.

Calm yourself with essential oils

There are a lot of essential oils that offer calming effects for emotions. You can relieve sadness, restlessness and nervousness with essential oils. Also there are essential oils that can help with emotional storms that come from monthly periods.

For sadness, worries and restlessness

Frankincense, patchouli and ylang ylang help with calmness during sadness. You can apply the essential oils to your heart or to your feet (dilute the oils to one big table-spoon of coconut oil). You can also massage the oil blend to your shoulders. DoTerra has an oil blend called Console, where you can find those essential oils too. You can also find it as a roller bottle.

Calming the emotional storms caused by hormones

Sage, lavender, bergamot and Roman chamomile can calm the emotional storms caused by hormones. You can mix one drop of each oil (or two if you use only one of these oils) to 1-2 table spoons of coconut oil. Massage the oil blend to your stomach or put the oils to diffuser. DoTerra has also an oil blend called Clary Calm, where you can find all these essential oils. Clary calm also cools your skin from heat. If you are pregnant or nursing consult your doctor.

Vlog about essential oils for better moods and focusing

Hi!

Greetings from the snow blizzard! I wanted to talk this week about moods and how to help your moods with essential oils. I use them daily for that. Having a good mood is essential for better health. I also made a blog about this two days ago, where I wrote down specific oils for different moods. I also gave out a recipe for better focusing.

Aromatherapy for moods

people-3112339_1920

One of the challenges in living in today’s world is definitely keeping positive outlook in life and staying happy. Even if we have more money and spare time from work and safer environment than people did decades ago, stress and comparing ourselves to everybody else takes the joy out of our lives. Being in better mood reduces stress and improves health. Even if you don’t own a diffuser, you can inhale essential oils from your skin or from bath water. You can dilute them into your skin and most of doTerra’s oils you can use internally.

For stress:

  • Rub two drops of frankincense to the bottoms of your feet (remember to dilute)
  • Put two drops of doTerra’s Roman chamomile into your tea (if you use some other brand, make sure that you can use their product internally)
  • Rub two drops of vetiver and lavender into your skin (remember to dilute)

For anger:

  • Rub patchouli to your temples or bottoms of your feet (remember to dilute)
  • Put few drops of Ylang Ylang to your foot bath

For nervousness and restlessness

  • Rub two drops of rosemary to your wrists diluted or put them into diffuser
  • Put few drops of lavender to your bath water or into your self-made shower gel
  • Put doTerra’s Balance oil blend to your neck, wrists or diffuser (remember to dilute for your skin). This is my favourite blend right now for my 2 year old’s mood swings (also helps me).

For sadness

  • Put two drops of sandalwood to your neck diluted or diffuse
  • Put doTerra’s Elevation blend to diffuser

Recipe for people with difficulties to focus:

For a palm of coconut oil

  • drop of vetiver
  • drop of lavender
  • drop of sandalwood

and massage it into your skin. You can also put those oils into your diffuser. DoTerra has an oilblend called Intune for focusing.

Essential oils for skin care

Hello!

I made today a vlog about skin care with essential oils. I go through different essential oils for different skin types (ageing and dry skin) and especially oily skin. I mention in the video a vlog, where I talk about how important it is to use pure essential oils. I made an article about this same topic, where I list all the oils that I talk about in this video and how to use them.

Essential oils for skin care

face-2662919_1920

Essential oils can balance, cleanse and renew your skin. It’s very important to check the quality of the essential oil brand you are using. Even if the label says 100% pure essential oil, unfortunately it doesn’t mean anything. Companies mix synthetic chemicals and other ingredients in them. There is no real regulation in the industry, other than what the companies do themselves. (I have a vlog about this)

You can improve the health of your skin tissue with good quality essential oils especially in your face and hands. You should dilute always your essential oils (except lavender and tea tree oil you can use directly in special circumstances) with jojoba, coconut or some other vegetable oil or with basic lotion without sent in it.

Here are tips for using essential oils for skin care:

  • Eucalyptus: Cooling and antiseptic, you can use for example for spots and boils.
  • Geranium: Contracting and balancing, cleans and firms the skin. Reduces inflammation and treats acne, eczema and little cuts.
  • Juniper berry: Contracting  and cleansing, can help with acne, eczema and oily skin. Don’t use while pregnant.
  • Lavender: Antiseptic and stops inflammation. It can reduce eczema, sun burn and mosquito bites. It can relieve mild burns in the skin. Lavender also increases cell growth and healing, so it can help with scars.
  • Roman chamomile: Calming and antiseptic, it’s good for sensitive and dry skin, relieves acne and eczema.
  • Sandal wood: Softens dry, ageing and wrinkly skin, it also can relieve sun burn, nettle-rash and other irritation in the skin.
  • Tea tree: Antiseptic and stops inflammation and fungus, it’s good for boils and skin rashes and other inflammation in the skin.
