Product review: DoTerra’s Correct-X

Hello everybody!

I think spring has begun. Since the 1st of March spring gets to come (even though we had finally snow in Turku).

I thought I would test doTerra’s Correct X cream. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with make up (where my mind goes to), but correcting skin flaws.

doTerra correctX

My thoughts about doTerra’s Correct X 15ml cream:

  • It is quite small and the ointment is translucent
  • I don’t get any sence of smell from it. I thought because it has Lavender, Tea tree and Frankincense oil in it, it would be stronger.
  • It is not sticky. I was worried, when I saw it come out that it would be sticky, but it spread very nicely.
  • It’s great for the dry spots on the face, but I also tried it for my atopic skin on my hands. It’s not best for that use. doTerra’s Hydrating cream would be better for that. That’s very creamy.
  • Even thought it’s only 15ml, I can see it lasting long because you only need tiny drop of it.

Review of doTerra’s face creams and facial cleansers

Hello everybody!

I tried to post my English video yesterday, just like my Finnish one, but due to technical difficulties I was not able to do it. Anyway, I thought I would review today doTerra’s facial products and talk how to replace them with oils if you don’t want yet another product on your shelves. I made a blog about this last week, if you want to check the details.

Review of doTerra’s skin care

Happy February everybody!!

I thought I would compare two of doTerra’s face creams and two of their face cleansers today. I am going to review: Verage Moisturizer, Hydrating Cream, Facial Cleanser and HD Clear Foaming Face Wash.

Face creams

doTerra’s Verage Moisturizer

I have used doTerra’s Verage Moisturizer daily for a long time now. It is a pump bottle, where two pumps a day go for a long way. It is a light cream that doesn’t leave skin sticky at all. It has Juniper berry, Geranium, Jasmin and Sea Buckthorn berry oil in it. It’s been designed to nourish and moisturize skin, so that the wrinkles don’t show as much. All the skin types can use it, but I think it’s perfect for acne and mixed skin types, because of its lightness.

I have dry skin and during summer time Verage Moisturizer works great. At the winter time I noticed that I could do with more hydration. I feel like you can replace the face cream with coconut oil that has a drop of jasmine and geranium essential oil in it, especially if you don’t have acne skin. Coconut oil is very bad for acne skin! Essential oils can have a strong sent for some people, so Verage Moisturizer can be a good option then. Verage Moisturizer doesn’t really have a sent.

doTerra’s Hydrating cream

Very creamy!! DoTerra’s hydrating cream has butter from cocoa seeds and jasmin flower oil. It doesn’t really have a sent at all, so it’s good for people who prefer that. Even for my dry winter skin, it seemed very creamy, but it wasn’t sticky at all! That made me very happy, because I don’t like that feeling! I am definitely going to repurchase for next winter, but I’m afraid that it will be too creamy for the summer! For atopic eczema it might be good even during summer! If you don’t have dry skin at all, Verage Moisturizer is better way to go.

Facial Cleansers

doTerra’s Facial Cleanser

Strong cleanser! It has peppermint and tea tree oil in it. Those essential oils cleanse very naturally and leave skin feeling fresh. I really recommend this cleanser for acne and mixed skin. It’s also probably good for people who like to wear a lot of make up. Cleanser has a sent of peppermint and tea tree oil. I have a sensitive skin and I don’t use a lot of make up. For me it was a bit too strong. Maybe during very warm months it might be ok.

doTerra’s HD Clear Foaming Face Wash

It’s a smaller size pump bottle. With one pump and water I am able to wash my face. My sensitive skin really likes it. It doesn’t have much of a sent at all and it works great. The HD Clear Foaming Face wash has tea tree, eucalyptus and geranium oil in it. Those essential oils have cleansing properties.

Replacing cleansers and moisturizers

You can replace facial cleansers all together with f.e coconut oil. You can mix a drop of tea tree oil in it and then wash it off. I know people who take their eye make up off with coconut oil (don’t mix essential oils with that!). I don’t recommend this to people with acne skin, so you don’t clog your pores! You can easily limit the amount of bottles you need, by using coconut oil as moisturizer and cleanser. You can even mix your essential oils in already at home. My eyes don’t like oily eye make up removers, so I have to use different sensitive products for that.

doTerra’s elefant diffuser (review)

Hi There!!

I wanted to make a quick review of the doTerra’s diffuser for children. It is a regular diffuser that has some added things for little kids. There are some lights and sounds (from the video you can see them better). If you are interested of the diffuser or want to see the review in written form go here.

Review of doTerra’s elefant diffuser

Happy New Year 2019!!I saw a while ago doTerra’s elephant diffuser. I have a three-year-old at home, so I thought that it would be perfect for his room. I wasn’t able to order it to Europe until Christmas. I will review it here.

Christmas products and promo items

Plusses:

  • Cute appearance! It looks perfect for a kid’s room
  • Few sounds (waves, birds and lullaby). Sounds are little bit mechanic.
  • Diffuser works as well as regular one

Minuses:

  • Stars lights in the sky could be bigger
  • filling water is little trickier than normally. You need to put the water through the elephant’s trunk (it’s probably because all of the extra mechanics in the diffuser).
  • You will get USB cord with the diffuser, but you need your own plug pin if you want to use it with a socket. I need to borrow my phone chargers plug pins at the moment.

Why do I need a diffuser?

  • Essential oils work wonderfully diffused. I use a diffuser if we are sick or getting sick, I need to uplift moods or calm them. 5-15 minutes is enough time.

doTerra doesn’t carry elephant diffuser permanently. It is being sold at the moment. The price is around 70e. Order elephant diffuser: sanna.tiisanoja@gmail.com
