Hello!

It’s officially fall here in Finland! Try to keep your spirits up! I have been loving my new Ylang Ylang essential oil, that decreases stress and lifts my mood. It’s wonderful to diffuse in the evenings. I use it sometimes also as a perfume on my wrists. I wrote a short article about the benefits of Ylang Ylang.

Cypress essential oil benefits

I have found a wonderful essential oil to my collection, cypress! For me it works as an addition to the treatment for my back. I love my peppermint too, but especially during night-time, cypress is great.

Essential oils for dizziness and vertigo/ motion sickness

Here is an easy and quick recipe dor dizziness. I suffer from motion sickness and dizziness time to time, so I really need natural help with that.

1 ml fractionated coconut oil/ yoyoba oil/ argar oil to a roller bottle

2 drops of frankincense

2 drops of peppermint oil

2 drops of lavender

Mix before use and put it behind your ears.

Essential oils for hair

Hello there!

Happy spring time! I give out in this vlog my three favourite essential oils for hair (and tell you of course, why they are the best ones 🙂 ) :

Essential oils for nails and cuticles

For cuticles:

15 ml olive oil

10 drops of Frankincense oil

Put it into a small (roller) bottle or rub it straight to your cuticles

Brittle nails:

1/4 tea-spoon of olive oil

1 drop of tea tree oil (Melaleuca)

Put it into a small (roller) bottle or rub it straight to your nails

Internal use of essential oils

Essential oils internally

Essential oils have been used internally for a long time and they can be used (responsibly) as a nutrient supplement for different things. I use them internally for better cellular health, improve my immune system and treat my stiff muscles. I used to take anti-inflammatory medicine at least weekly and now I use them mostly two times in many months ( I have bad hips that make my lower back stiff).

If you put cinnamon on to your sour milk or fresh oregano to your pasta, you are getting aromatic compounds internally. Before you take essential oils internally make sure you have 100% pure product in your hands. Essential oils are also very strong. It takes a lot of plants to make a drop! Make sure you follow guidelines to avoid problems. If you are on a medication, pregnant or have an illness, ask your doctor if it’s safe for you to take essential oils internally or on to your skin.

Essential oils go through digestive track very quickly. Different essential oils react differently in the body and they haven’t even found all the ways they work in the body yet. There has been studies in the universities that have found positive results.

  • Essential oils can be used instead of dry ingredients in cooking and baking (remember that essential oils are stronger than dry spices)
  • Essential oils can be added to smoothies, tea, coffee, juices and water (try one drop first)
  • Essential oils can be put into capsules (doTerra has pure veggie capsules)

DIY natural hand soap

Hello!

Lovely spring is bringing it’s light and hopefully soon it’s warmth too. I made a video to show you guys how easy it is to make your own liquid hand soap. I wrote to my last blog the recipe for natural hand soap. I use on the video a natural aloevera soap that I dilute with distilled water. The hand soap went to a toilet that I don’t use very often. That’s why I wanted to use distilled water instead of regular tap water, even though in Finland the water is pretty good. I added doTerra’s Onguard essential oil blend to protect me and my toddler and lavender to take care of our skin. In the video you can also see my burmese cat Örri, who is part of all home project like burmese cats often are.

Focus blend with essential oils

Hello everybody!

I wrote a blog few days ago, where I talk about how to find better focus with essential oils. In this vlog today I talk more about this issue (sorry about the bad lighting).
