Happy beginning of summer time!
I posted earlier the recipe for healing scalp spray. doTerra’s Frankincense is good for cells in your scalp, peppermint is cooling and lavender is calming.

Happy cold winter day everybody!
In my last post I posted a recipe for DIY all natural parfume. The carrier oil can be other than fractionated coconut oil, just make sure that the essential oils consist of what they are supposed to (Check out my video, why I only use doTerra).
In this video (I talk Finnish, but you can mute it) I use doTerra’s Ylang Ylang, Lemon grass and fractionated coconut oil. I use the recipe mentioned in the beginning.

Hello everybody!
Happy spring time! Recipes for the nail and cuticle oils are in my last blog. You can blend both oils in a spoon or a small jar and rub them straight in to your nails and cuticles or put them into a small glass jar or roller bottle. As a carrier oil you can use olive, jojoba or coconut oil. In a vlog I speak Finnish, but you can easily watch this muted, it is just a small demonstration 🙂

Hello!
Lovely spring is bringing it’s light and hopefully soon it’s warmth too. I made a video to show you guys how easy it is to make your own liquid hand soap. I wrote to my last blog the recipe for natural hand soap. I use on the video a natural aloevera soap that I dilute with distilled water. The hand soap went to a toilet that I don’t use very often. That’s why I wanted to use distilled water instead of regular tap water, even though in Finland the water is pretty good. I added doTerra’s Onguard essential oil blend to protect me and my toddler and lavender to take care of our skin. In the video you can also see my burmese cat Örri, who is part of all home project like burmese cats often are.
I have used homemade hand soaps for years. Natural liquid hand soaps are quick and easy to make. I want to keep all the extra chemicals and additives away from my home. You get enough of them from outside of the home. Many 100% pure essential oils are naturally disinfecting and they bring a natural sent. If you have a sensitive skin, lavender oil is a good choice. Lemon and peppermint are favourites for other people. If it’s the flu season, I use doTerra’s protective Onguard blend that has wild orange, clover, cinnamon and eucalyptus oil in it (or I use ready Onguard foaming hand soap).
Here is my recipe for self made liquid hand soap:
You only need few drops for normal pump bottle.

If you want to reduce the amount of chemicals in your home or chemicals also give you a head ache like me, here is a recipe for DIY natural stain remover. (I made a blog post, where I talk more about natural cleaning earlier)
You will need:
Mix together 1/3 of your wanted amount liquid soap and 2/3 hydrogen peroxide. Add baking soda one table-spoon at a time until you have a paste. Add few drops of lemon essential oil.
Put a generous amount to the stain and use an old tooth-brush. Do both sides of the fabric. Leave it for an hour and then throw it to the washer. Make sure that the stain is gone before putting it to the drier (drier dries the stain really hard).

Hello!
I found a great natural cough syrup recipe that is more gentle to the stomach and to your whole system than the chemical version. I just read a study that said that chemical cough medicines don’t even work 😦 Honey has great health benefits for those who suffer from cough and flu, which I also go through in the vlog.

Here is a DIY recipe for a natural cough medicine. Honey has some great health benefits and it has been proven to work better for coughs than chemical cough medicines. Honey has less sugar than some cough medicines and it is more gentile to the stomach. Honey has antibacterial properties and it has been proven to work against dozens of different bacteria. I like this, because my stomach does not like chemical cough medicines. Essential oils have also a lot of health benefits.
Mix well together with a table-spoon of honey:
You can mix the honey with tea or hot water.
Now is the time of the year, when a lot of people are having people over and they want to clean the house for the holidays. I try to avoid as much chemicals as I possibly can. I have made this homemade oven cleaner and I wanted to share the recipe for the holidays. I have also an old article, where I have a recipe for all-purpose cleaner, if you want to check that out.
Recipe:
Mix it all together at put it all for at least 15 minutes to oven / stove stains

Nyt on se aika vuodesta, kun monelle tulee vieraita kotiin jouluksi ja koti halutaan laittaa kuntoon juhlapyhiksi. Itse vierastan nykyään kaikkia ylimääräisiä kemikaaleja, joten olen tehnyt muutaman vuoden itse oman uunin puhdistusaineen. Minulla on vanha artikkeli, jossa on yleispesuaineen resepti.
Resepti:
Sekoita kaikki yhteen ja laita 15 minuutiksi uuni/hellatahroihin.
