doTerra’s Citrus bliss review

Happy New Year everybody!

It’s so great to start a fresh new year in a -2C weather and with a fresh new video. doTerra has three new deoderants in the place of the one old one they had and so far I’m liking the change! I have only just tried Citrus Bliss. The other two are called Douglas fir and Greek orange and Blance. In this video you will find the review with my new oriental short hair kitten Lilian.

Essential oils in the home (bathroom)

It’s been a while since I last posted! 🙂 My community garden has taken up all of my free time, since I didn’t take any summer vacation this year. I thought I would post few times about essential oils in the home. I start from the bathroom.

Essential oils in the bathroom

Tea tree oil (doTerras Melaleuca)

-Disinfects irritated skin and wounds

-Great for oily skin (make sure that the carrier oil doesn’t clogg your pores)

-Terrashield oil blend protects skin from mosquito bites and bacteria. It’s great for irritated skin (remember to dilute). Terra shield has Ylang ylang, cypress, eucalyptus and vanilla. I don’t recommend for defusing, but we are constantly using it also in our cabin with my kid.

Onguard -spray, cleaning concentrate and foaming hand wash

Onguard spray for disinfecting is without any extra chemicals! It has alcohol, citrus, clove and cinnamon bark in it. Put an extra one in your hand bag!

Onguard cleaning concentrate is in constant use in our home! I delute it in a spray bottle with 1/4 of doTerra cleaning concentrate and rest water. A splash of vinegar to go a long with it. I clean all of my house from kitchen to bathroom with it. No extra chemicals. Onguard cleaning concentrate has citrus, clove and cinnamon bark in it.

Onguard foaming hand soap protects your hands from germs naturally. It really lasts for a long time. I use 1/4 Onguard hand wash and rest of it water. It has citrus, clove and cinnamon bark in it.

Lavender

You can add it to natural hand wash, bath soap and bath oil. It is such a relaxing oil. You can add two drops of lavender to dryer balls after your clothes are half dry.

Deep Blue cream

Very effective peppermint based cream for muscle and joint pain. I don’t recommend it going to bed, it might keep you up! -) Wash your hands well after applying it!

Which essential oils to take for cabin life?

Hello there!

Our summer season in our allotment garden cabin is in full force and I found myself thinking which essential oils should I take along. For bug bites, cuts etc. doTerra’s tea tree oil (Melaleuca) is great. It disinfects naturally and calms irritated skin. You can apply couple of drops straight to the skin, but for larger area, sensitive skin or kids, I would use a carrier oil. Terrashield spray is very easy to grab if you don’t want to take carrier oil with you.

Onguard spray that has alcohol, citrus, clove and cinnamun is a great alternative to regural disinfection sprays. Now in corona season, I barely leave my house without it. It has alcohol that kills the bacteria and viruses, but doesn’t have all the other chemicals. It has the plants that boost your own immune system.

Lavender is calming, if you need help to sleep in a strange place. Deep Blue rub is very powerful for relaxing aching muscles, if they get stuck in all the planting work or sleeping in a not so comfirtable bed.

Scalp spray recipe with essential oils

Lovely spring time here in Finland!

Leaves on trees, some flowers are starting to bloom and more light! I love it! I made my self a natural scalp spray to freshen up and cool my scalp.

Years ago I had to reduce the amount of chemicals in my hair and scalp. My scalp started to regurlarly get irritated with hair coloring, dry shampoo and all the chemicals I was dumpig on it. Sometimes it still gets dry and irritated. This has been a wonderdul recipe for me and my son, who has the same problem sometimes. You can apply it to dry or wet scalp.

Easy natural scalp spray recipe (shake always before use):

  • Spray bottle almost full of water
  • 2 drops of doTerra’s peppermint
  • 2 drops of doTerra’s lavender
  • 2 drops of doTerra’s rosemary

Essential sleeping oils (for diffuser)

Happy continuing spring time!

We had snow this weak out of the blew for a little while! But one thing is for sure: We are having more and more light! In order to help my kid fall a sleep, I took my elefant diffuser out.

Here is one great sleeping blend for diffuser:

  • 2 drops of doTerra’s Lavender
  • 1 drop of doTerra’s Frankincense
  • 1 drop of doTerra’s Juniper Berry

doTerra’s Correct X ointment review (video)

Happy spring (and Corona) Friday!

The sunny days continue here in Finland and what a relief that is while being isolated from people that you can at least go outside (as I did playing football with my 4 year old last night)!

I made a review of doTerra’s Correct X in my blog, where you can see the details of the product better than from this video. Here is my review video:

Product review: DoTerra’s Correct-X

Hello everybody!

I think spring has begun. Since the 1st of March spring gets to come (even though we had finally snow in Turku).

I thought I would test doTerra’s Correct X cream. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with make up (where my mind goes to), but correcting skin flaws.

doTerra correctX

My thoughts about doTerra’s Correct X 15ml cream:

  • It is quite small and the ointment is translucent
  • I don’t get any sence of smell from it. I thought because it has Lavender, Tea tree and Frankincense oil in it, it would be stronger.
  • It is not sticky. I was worried, when I saw it come out that it would be sticky, but it spread very nicely.
  • It’s great for the dry spots on the face, but I also tried it for my atopic skin on my hands. It’s not best for that use. doTerra’s Hydrating cream would be better for that. That’s very creamy.
  • Even thought it’s only 15ml, I can see it lasting long because you only need tiny drop of it.
